Asparagus Parmesan (TNT)

I served this with the poppyseed chicken that we had for dinner last night. This is a great way to fix asparagus. We loved it!

Asparagus Parmesan

1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup olive oil
1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus spears, and cook, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes, or to desired firmness. Drain off excess oil, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
