I'm going to crochet, but I haven't found luck finding the wool. It calls for ribbon wool, but I haven't found that yet.

I finished a pair of fingerless gloves for Austin, so that makes 5 in total. The kids love them!!!

Between getting Tricia's party ready and the book, I have no time to get anything else done.

Rest?!! What's that?!! Seriously, with what's being going on around here lately, the busier I can keep myself, the less likely I'll lose it.

Thanks for keeping the UFO's going.

Re: Lisa's UFO List For 2009

Post by lhgoudie on Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:25 pm

Thanks Dawn. I'm okay; it's just seems like everyone else I love is going through a rough time and it's all falling on me. I have to be the strong one and that's hard, especially with trying to get all the revisions done.

8 Pony cutouts are done. They're cute. I photocopied a My Little Pony from a colouring page and enlarged it, so it's larger than a letter sized piece of paper and then traced them onto Bristol Board. I made a pencil outline so the kids can see where the mane and tail are, then they can decorate them with markers, wool and glitter and whatever else I have in my craft boxes. I like to have a craft to start because NO ONE EVER shows up for a party at the same time.

You are so smart for thinkning ahead like that!

By the way have you found your ribbon yarn yet for your shrug?

Hang in there sweetie. I can certainly undertsand rough times. I cannot begin to explain what all has been going on around here. I was about to have a breakdown of my own over it all. It is still not over but at least I have been given a chance to catch my breath so to speak. and even that makes me feel guilty.

Well I am off to update my UFO list... it is getting longer instead of shorter! Sheeze! LOL

Just saw your post, Dawn. Relax? What's that? Even with just four girls (and the boys bribed into playing XBox downstairs for the whole party), I accumulated a fair amount of grey hairs. Between Tricia's best friend stealing toys during the pinata time, and unpermitted food (because of religious reasons) being eaten, I was so happy, it was a small party. Of course, the only one stressed was me; Tricia had a ball.

Hey Lisa I saw some ribbon yarn at Joanne's the other day when I was there. I knew someone was looking for it and could not recall who. If you still can't find any, let me know and I could pick some up for you, just let me know what color you need. Or does it have to be wool? If so I cannot touch wool... unless I have gloves on.

Thanks so much, Dawn. I do have some extra yarn, although it's not ribbon and maybe I'll just try the shrug to make sure I like the style. Then look for the right yarn and make a second.

I found a pattern for crochet pokeballs and I think I'll make a 1/2 dozen into Christmas ornaments, plus design a bunch of my brother's fave pokemons as well as each of my kids favourites. I so need a life!!!
