    Hi--
I have made this for our covered dish dinners at church and it was a tremendous hit! Both pies were gone in no time! If you are a chocoholic, this pie is just for you!!
    Enjoy!

    HOBBIT PIE

    (Makes 2 pies)

    1 16 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips
    6 tablespoons sugar
    6 tablespoons milk
    4 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 cup cold water
1 8 oz. tub of light (low-calorie) whipped topping such as Cool Whip
    light
2 9-inch pre-packaged Oreo pie crusts (or make your own from Oreo
    cookies)

Add the sugar and milk to the chocolate chips and place over low heat
until the chips are completely melted.
Using a wire whisk, beat four whole eggs into the chocolate mixture.

Dissolve 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin in the 1/4 cup of cold
water. Let stand for about two minutes until the gelatin is
thickened, then add to the chocolate mixture.

Add 1 tsp vanilla to the chocolate mixture.

Fold in 8 oz. of light whipped topping.

Pour into two 9-inch Oreo pie crusts.

Let chill for at least three hours or until set.
