    Lee's Buttermilk Peach Cobbler

This recipe is different than any cobbler you may have had as the crust is not really a pie crust, but more like a cake. The batter rises aroung the peaches and is golden brown when done. To test for doneness, use the toothpick test. When inserted in the crust it will come out clean if done.
    1 cup flour
    1 cup buttermilk
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Mix until smooth. Pour into the bottom of a 9x13 inch greased pan. Set aside.
2 large cans peaches with juice
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together. Pour peach mixture into middle of batter. Put into a 350 degree oven and bake until golden brown, about 30 to 45 minutes.
I served this with real whipped cream.
