I made this meal a few nights ago and it is real comfort food!! ....and makes a lot!! I think that is why it is called "Church Chicken" because it would be great to take to a Church potluck dinner.

1 stewing chicken, cooked and cubed
2 boxes chicken Stove Top Dressing
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
1 quart chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
6 eggs, beaten
Bread crumbs
Prepare dressing according to box directions. Spread dressing over bottom of greased 9x15 inch pan. Cover with cut up chicken. Melt butter and combine with flour. Add chicken broth and salt. Stir constantly until it thickens. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Pour over chicken layer. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

PEG’S NOTE:
This makes a lot so you could just make ½ of the recipe if you don’t need so much. It makes about 10-12 servings.
