We had grilled pork chops for dinner last night and I thought these beans would be a great side dish...They are really yummy! (but then, I love lima beans!!).

Amish Barbeque Lima Beans
1 quart lima beans, cooked in salted water until tender; drain.
2 medium onions, chopped
2 Tbs. margarine or butter
1 tsp. vinegar
2 Tbs. brown sugar
1 Tbs. flour
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water (or more)
Saute onion in butter. Add vinegar, brown sugar and flour. Mix well. Add ketchup and water. Mix well. Add to lima beans and bake 30-35 minutes at 325. Can be prepared and reheated over low heat in heavy frying pan.

PEG’S NOTE:
I didn’t use a quart of lima beans. I used a 16-oz. package of frozen lima beans and cooked and drained them and I only made up about half of the sauce.
