    Log Carrier
    A log carrier is for bringing in wood for you stove or fireplace.
    Size 29" wide.
    Material: 2 lbs of single knit cotton fabric in assorted colors.
    Crochet hook size K. 3/4 yd cotton fabric for lining. Sewing Thread.
    19" wooden handles that have screws. (Cedaridge Farm)
    To prepare strips, cut fabric into 3/4" wide strips. If some fabrics are heaver. than others, cut them a little narrower.
    Join strips with a few handstitches either as work progesses or before starting work.
    Ch 50. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn.
    Row 2: sc in back lp of each sc across. Ch 1 and turn. Repeat row 2 until piece measures aprox. 30" long.
    Piece should measure about 18 1/2 inches across.
    Cut lining fabric 2: larger all around than crochet piece.
    Press back 5/8" all around to wrong side of fabric.
    Place wrong side of lining on wrong side of crocheted piece.
    Turn edges of lining over to right side of crocheted piece and hem.
    Place ends of crochet piece between handles. Attach hand strips and screww firmly in place.
