Irene sorry I didn't reply to you earlier. If you want an avatar click on PROFILE (top right hand corner). Then you will see these headings

• Information
  
• Preferences
  
• Signature
• Avatar
  
• Topic is being watched
  

Click on avatar and then follow directions. You can use the browse feature and upload a pic from your documents or use one of the avatars from the forum gallery.
