I was watching an On Demand craft show last night and the lady said something that made a whole lot of sense and I wondered why I had not thought of it before!
When using a hot glue gun, put a bandaid on your finger so you can work with the project without burning your finger.
Then while I was at the pinning/sewing party, the ladies there were having trouble getting the safety pins through the patches and the quilt. They started running the pins over a bar of soap and the pins went in sooo much smoother!!! And since they were pinning 226 patches with two pins each... that tip speed things up rather fast for them!
