Green Beans with Buttered Pecans
1 lb. fresh green beans
4 cups water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 TBSP butter or margarine
4 TBSP chopped pecans
1/4 tsp. pepper
Wash beans, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces. Bring water and salt to boil. Add beans and cook until crisp tender. Drain and set aside. Melt butter in nonstick skillet; add pecans and cook until golden, stirring often. Add beans; toss lightly and cook until throughly heated. Sprinkle with pepper.
