Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc in ea ch across, ch 1, turn
Row 2: dec 1 sc in first 2 sts, sc in ea sc across to within last 2 sts, dec 1 sc in last 2 sts, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in ea sc across, ch1, turn Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have 3 sts in row.
Last row (insert hk in first st, yo, draw yarn through st) 3 times, yo, draw yarn through all 4 loops on hk (1 cluster of 3 sc made). Fasten off
Trunk:
Row 1: On right side, skip first 7 sts, join yarn in next st Row 1: ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 4 sts (5sc), turn.
Rows 2-5: ch 1, sc in each sc across (5 sc)
Trim: At end of last row, ch 1. With right side facing, sc evenly around entire tree and trunk, working 2 sc in corners.
Add small bit of yarn at top for hanging ornament.
