    Connie's greenbeans and Potatoes


    3or 4 lbs of green beans cleaned
    1 lb or bacon
    1 oinon
    3or 4 tomatoes skinned and dicedabout
    7or 8 poatoes( red potatoes leave the skins)
    in dutch oven pan add cleaned green beansand about even to water water to cover the beans .and bring to a boil
    then in skillet fry 1 lb bacon cubed fry until crispy
    and remove bacon for a few
    in grease add salt and pepper onion dicedand cook for three minutes
    then add tomatoes.( the tomatoes give this a different taste and when cookthe potatoes will turn red.)after this mixture is cooked add your potatoes and mix them together.then add to green beans and cook ,cover with lid until beanand potatoes are done.on about medium heat.

    serve with Corn bread,sliced onions and sliced tomatoes.Ice tea with lemon this is a great spring meal.
