Hi..
I served these beans for dinner last night along with the Pork with Apples and Horseradish....This is a great way to add a little different taste to plain old green beans!

Green Beans With Almond Butter
1-1/2 lbs. fresh green beans, trimmed
2 Tbs. butter, softened
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Dash pepper
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted and finely chopped
1. Place the beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to
a boil; cook, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the butter, lemon juice and
peel, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Stir in the almonds. Drain the
beans and return to the pan. Add almond butter and toss to coat.
Yield: 6 servings.
