The noses are made of polymer clay, the eyes from black beads (some sewn on, some just glued on) the mouth is just a fine tip marker. Also some Santa faces can be made the same way.

The hats are made of fleece....just rectangle sewn together and cut strips & pull them to make them curl.
the powder puffs were more like the old fashioned cloth/fine terry-cloth....but any puff would work even the spongy kind.. The Santa faces are made with flesh colored puffs. White fleece was used on them. Furry stuff can be used.
