September. week 3's craft supplies

Hey! its me, Patricia. i'm hosting the new craft. so, here are the supplies you need:

different colours of yarn or wool

book that is same size of doll and arms

scissors

glue

beads and pipe cleaners (optional)

we will post soon.

We usually knitted worsted wool, like Red Heart super saver, but you can use any type of wool you like. Also, we used books to wrap the wool around, so choose books that are the sizes you would like the body and the arms to be. We used to wrap it around our arms, but sometimes our arms would be tired and then your arm would droop and the wool wouldn't be the same length.

Think I have some yarn! I definitly have plenty of books! Does hard back work better than paper back?

Hard cover keeps it a little more sturdy, but either works.

Oh I am soooo ready! This sounds like I may put a dent in my yarn stash and that is always a good thing

Patricia and I will make one up today and take pictures, so that she can show each step.

wonderful, because yesterday broke my brain and not sure I will be able to follow the simplest of instructions.... pictures will seriously help this old brain

Can I ask what is being made? What doll are we talking about ?
I am clueless but been out of the loop for a while.

Oh okay I have made those years ago. How funny.

I remember my mom teaching my girl guide company and myself how to make them. Patricia has been making these for years. I just wanted to include her this month.
